Nemesis, in the Marvel Universe, is a being of immense power with a complex and often contradictory history. Originally, Nemesis was the sentient essence of the entire universe, the primordial force from which all realities sprung. Longing for release from its solitude, it shattered itself into countless fragments, which became the Infinity Gems.

The Gems, scattered across the cosmos, each held a different aspect of Nemesis's power – Space, Time, Reality, Power, Mind, and Soul. These Gems, when combined, could potentially recreate Nemesis, as happened when a team of heroes and villains inadvertently brought her back to life on the Ultraverse Earth.

This resurrected Nemesis possessed godlike abilities and a warped perception of reality, seeing humans as insignificant and desiring to merge all realities into a single, perfect being – herself. She was ultimately defeated through a combination of strategic manipulation and overwhelming force, and the Infinity Gems were scattered once again to prevent her re-emergence.
